LM's New Cafe and Bakery Opens in the Former Grass Fed

LM Restaurants' newest concept, Café Crème, soft opened today and traffic is steady in the cafe and bakery on Damen Avenue. Lots of strollers made their way through the remodeled entrance of the former Grass Fed, leading owner Nicole Outrequin Quassier to remark "you can see who the majority of our clientele will be."

The café will open daily at 7 a.m. and serve a French-inspired menu of salads, sandwiches, soups, breakfast items, and wine and beer until 3 p.m. The bakery component will remain open until 7 p.m. daily to accommodate local foot traffic; the majority of the breads and pastries are baked on-site while the rest come from their other bakery down the street, Tradition Boulangerie.

Quassier and team are enticing diners with free coffee with a purchase of any a la carte item throughout the rest of June.

Chef Matt DuBois, formerly of EL Ideas, is leaving tasting menus behind to cook straightforward, seasonal food at Café Crème. Gluten free and vegan options are available and brunch will be served daily.

"We've learned that the local community has been waiting for a café to come back to this space and we are going to adapt the menu to their needs," Quassier said. "If they want more Champagne, we will add more Champagne".
