Ramen-San, the Melmans' Ramen Spot, Hopefully Opening Monday

When some restaurants remodel and reconcept, the differences are sometimes just cosmetic. That's not the case with Ramen-San, which is a stark contrast to what used to be here, the chic Paris Club bar.

Jerrod and RJ Melman based the simple design on recent travels in Japan. The floor and seating in the one-room space are made of clean, bright wood; booths line the perimeter with tables in the middle. The walls are made of bare exposed brick with little decoration. A bright seven-seat bar is immediately to the right after entering.

RJ Melman says that they're now hoping to open it on Monday but are waiting on permits. Until then, you have more photos below.
