Laughing Bird, the Filipino-American reconcept of Tank Sushi with chef Chrissy Camba (Bar Pastoral), takes flight tonight. The space is much more contemporary and sultry than the previous restaurant, as ownership has replaced the clean off whites and sky blues with dark grays and exposed brick. It's broken into a few sections, including tables overlooking the front windows and more seating in the back, with the bar in between.
Camba's menu, posted to its website, features Filipino bar snacks (meat skewers, empanadas, deviled eggs), prepared meats (chicken liver mousse, pate) and other small plates, protein-based entrees, and soft serve. It's open every day except Mondays, no reservations.
