David Burke Planning Two More Restaurants; Pushes Back Another

New, 1 comment

David Burke is working with a local developer Musa Tadros to open a number of restaurant projects in the Chicago area, CRED reports. The first, the farm-to-table concept in the in-development Hotel Indigo that was originally planned for this spring, is now due next year. Two more, a fast-casual shop in an office building in the Loop and an additional farm-to-table restaurant in the northwestern suburbs, are in the works.

The celebrity chef, who recently decided to scale back his role in the David Burke Group, considering these moves, doesn't seem to be slowing down in his ambition locally even after closing Burke's Bacon Bar on May 4 and Rick Gresh's exit from David Burke's Primehouse for a position at the upcoming Virgin Hotel, which is expected to open this coming fall.
