Kaiser Tiger, the beer and sausage spot in the former Tasting Room space is due to launch this coming Saturday after passing inspections. Though they had originally hoped to have opened earlier in the week, the grand opening is now tied into a party with Deschutes Brewery that begins at 3:00 p.m..

The space, redone by the guys that brought you Paddy Long's on Diversey (Chris Latchford and Pat Berger), is two floors with two sets of 24 taps on each floor, a slew of sausage sandwiches (including one dubbed "the Justin Bieber"), an eclectic mix of rock music that the staff will choose (think old-school punk, modern alt rock and everything in between), as well as a view of the city that Latchford is quite fond of.

Besides the sausage sandwiches, the menu (which you can view in full below), executed by chef Roberto Jacobo, features a lot of hearty pub fare that will definitely go well with copious amounts of beer. It includes Irish currywurst, a bacon board and a sausage board, a few salads, eight different dipping sauces for Belgian-style french fries, an appetizer dubbed "bacon grenades," and they're also bringing over Paddy Long's infamous "bacon bomb."

Look for an outdoor beer garden that seats 200 to open this summer. It's built and ready to go, but this is one last detail that needs to pass inspection before guests can enjoy it.
