OrganicLife Owners Teaming With Les Nomades Chef for River North Pizzeria

Last summer, OrganicLife CEO Jonas Falk told Serious Eats that Les Nomades chef Roland Liccioni "is the hidden gem of the culinary world" and that "pizza is my favorite food in the world." Falk is about to marry those two ideas.

Falk, Liccioni, and OrganicLife co-owner Justin Rolls will open Dough Bros. Pizzeria and Sub Shop this summer in the former home of State Street Pizza, according to a real estate press release. It says they will serve New York-style pies and sandwiches, with everything—bread, cheese, ingredients—made in-house.

State Street Pizza was oddly slow, despite a location within mere feet of a myriad of nightlife options, offices, and entertainment, and shuttered last summer. It looks like the co-owners of a wildly successful organic school lunch company and a James Beard-winning chef will take their crack at a pizza place in the space this summer.
