Behold Renderings of the Forthcoming Geek Bar

New, 1 comment

When Geek Bar, the forthcoming temple of geekdom, opens (hopefully) in June, expect an interior light-and-dark dichotomy of modern metalwork and rustic woodwork fit for both sci-fi and fantasy geeks.

Architect and designer Katherine Darnstadt of Latent Design says she "brought Mad Max themes" into the finishes, most prominent in the angular metal caging that will house the private dining area to the right in one of the renderings. The futuristic cages also cover the light fixtures and play into the bar stools while "felt acoustic panels" hang from the ceiling. Wooden beams and tables provide the contrast.

Check out another rendering below; ownership is hoping to open Geek Bar in June.
