Chicago's First Sonic Opening May 6

Limeades and coneys are less than two weeks away from landing in Chicago. The Sonic Drive-In chain is putting the finishing touches on its first Chicago location in Uptown and announced on its local Facebook page yesterday that it'll hold the grand opening on May 6.

As previously reported, Sonic Uptown will have two drive-throughs open 24 hours, nine car hop stalls, a fireplace and a covered patio. The post also says they have "fun things in store" for the grand opening of a location that has been in the works since summer 2011.
