Some change is coming to a Lincoln Park brunch and family standby. The Lincoln Park John's Place, in business for 20 years on Webster (there's another in Roscoe Village), will close in late May. Owner John Manilow, the brother of Check, Please! producer David Manilow, will open White Oak Tavern & Inn in its place sometime this summer.

White Oak will be more of a tavern, obviously, but also be in step with many current concepts. Look for locally-sourced food, breads and ice creams made in-house, craft cocktails and small-batch bourbon.

John's Place in Roscoe Village will remain the same, but you have roughly a month to see the Lincoln Park spot in its current concept.
