Affluent Gold Coast diners are about a month away from getting Spiaggia back. After closing on New Year's Day, Tony Mantuano's Italian flagship will reopen on May 23—nearly two months after the planned date.
The restaurant will begin taking reservations on Monday (April 28) for May 23 and beyond while OpenTable reservations are available for June 1 and later, a change from the original plan put forth in December.
To recap: The gut rehab aims to remove stuffiness and white tablecloths, as well as relocating the bar to the center of the restaurant and building a new lounge and wine room. Watch the video below for a quick peek inside the new space, still under construction.
