A real estate developer promised Evanstonians that the replacement for The Keg, a bar the mayor shuttered for underage drinking, would be "dignified." That replacement turns out to be the second Bangers & Lace location, Crain's reports.
Bangers & Lace partners, which doesn't include Matt Eisler or Kevin Heisner anymore, are also attempting to expand the concept to multiple locations. The first in Evanston will include more menu items and a similarly broad beer selection when it hopefully opens in the fall.
The building will also house another restaurant soon, as Evanston people continue to see an influx of dining and drinking options.
