Though not much is known about mfk., an upcoming "seaside focused" restaurant in Lakeview that replaces Torajiro Sushi in June, we do know something about the people running it.
Executive chef Nick Lacasse ran the kitchen at The Drawing Room for a number of years before becoming embroiled in Eddie Carranza's never materialized Rockwell market. Lacasse went on to become executive chef at Pure Kitchen Catering after leaving Carranza behind. General manager Scott Worsham spent time working with Art Smith's Lyfe Kitchen chain as well as Smith's Art and Soul in Washington D.C. as the consulting wine director.
Named after American food writer Mary Frances Kennedy Fisher, the restaurant's Facebook page states that they "like little fishes, grilled crustaceans, crusty bread, farmhouse butter and cold rosé." Look for more information on mfk. in the weeks leading to its opening.
