Schnitzel King Shutters Both Storefront and Truck

Bridgeport diners and food truck aficionados around the city lost a lot of schnitzel yesterday. Chicago Schnitzel King announced via its Facebook page that both the Bridgeport storefront and the food truck are shuttered, DNAinfo reports, although ownership is leaving the possibility of resurfacing open. The post cites "the harsh food truck laws in Chicago, coupled with some kinks at our storefront location" for the decision.

The storefront opened a year ago this month and the truck has been a mainstay of the Chicago food truck scene. Ownership's lawsuit against the city's food truck laws, shared with the Cupcakes for Courage truck, is ongoing.
