Prasino had a short stay in Rosemont. The "green" restaurant held its last night of service yesterday in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, according to staff and corporate chef Jared Case. The location opened for business last August.
Case says the restaurant suffered from extremely slow business, which he says is a hallmark of the mall as a whole. "We were falling short by enough money that it didn't make any sense to keep it open," he says. Overspending issues had also plagued the restaurant, according to Case.
The Prasino gyro spinoff, Covo, shuttered in October too. The Prasino locations in Wicker Park and the suburbs remain open.
