The new, larger Ceres' Table is getting close to opening in the former Frog 'n Snail location in Lakeview. Chef Giuseppe Scurato, who garnered four Bib Gourmand awards in a row from the Michelin Guide, has revamped the entire menu (save for the beloved arancine dish), which can be viewed in its entirety below.

Scurato is joined by All Day Hospitality's Caryn Struif (serving as the operating partner/general manager), the duo "previously worked together for many years," according to Struif. She was the one who brought the space to Scurato's attention, saying "I knew his talents would be a perfect match for Lakeview."

The new location, seating 100 guests, will sport a wood-burning oven which will get a lot of use cooking the new homemade pizzas Scurato added to the menu, as well as a "sophisticated yet approachable" wine list of 90-plus selections (starting at $28, averaging between $50 to $60).

The shareable menu is inspired by Scurato's Sicilian heritage and will include charcuterie, cheeses, crudi, antipasti, pasta, fish and meat entrees, and sides that will change week to week. Pastry chef Leticia Zenteno is putting the finishing touches on a dessert menu that will work as a counterpart to chef Scurato's savory courses.

A firm opening date has not been set, but reps insist that "late April" will be the time when the new Ceres' Table is revealed to Chicago.
