First heard about last October, Yum Cha Dim Sum Parlor, from executive chef Rodelio Aglibot, is now soft open. Along with Aglibot's talents, the restaurant is partnering with Chinatown dim sum favorite, Phoenix, who will oversee development in the cooking staff.
The 150-seat space in Lakeshore East in the Village East complex (between Randolph St. and Benton Pl.) also features a full bar and patio seating. Aglibot's menu is pretty expansive, featuring the traditional smack dab next to modern twists on the Cantonese cuisine.
The official opening date for Yum Cha Dim Sum Parlor is April 14.
