Gratafy, an app that allows smartphone users to remotely purchase food and drink for their friends, family and co-workers from restaurants and bars, is now in Chicago. Participating locations include Roka Akor, Tanta, Shaw's Crab House, Hubbard Inn, Kuma's Too and more.
The app, which is available for iPhone and Android users, is free to download. Gifts are sent via text, email or posted to the recipient's Facebook wall and can be redeemed simply by giving your server a three-digit code sent from the app. Gifts can be as extravagant as an entire meal tab, or as reasonable as a pint of beer.
Gratafy has partnered with nearly 400 restaurants in Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle.
