Second Half Acre Location With Taproom and Restaurant in the Works

About six months ago, news came out about a Half Acre restaurant and expansion of the original location but the restaurant was nixed four months later. But today there's news of a second Half Acre location at Balmoral off Damen that will eventually include a restaurant and taproom, according to the Tribune.

Founder Gabriel Magliaro tells the Trib that the they'll brew their most popular selections at the new space and use the current space for "more experimental and smaller batch brews." He hopes to start brewing in the new spot by October but the opening timeframe for the restaurant and taproom is unknown.

The bottom line: Expect much more Half Acre beer in the fall or winter and Half Acre food at some point down the line.
