The Story Unfolds Tomorrow at A Baker's Tale

Photo: A Baker's Tale

A Baker's Tale (previously known as Once Upon A Bakery before some legalities sprung up) will be open for business beginning tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. Owner/executive pastry chef Christine LaSorda will preside over a cake cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m.

Merging LaSorda's love for baked goods and storytelling, A Baker's Tale's features bowler hat pendant lights, greenery adorning the hallway walls outside of the lavatories (the doors of which are marked with a big key), teacup light fixtures, and black and white paintings of Alice In Wonderland. There are also multi-colored chairs, as well as a custom-made tree with book pages for leaves which they hope will dazzle children of all ages.

Bakery items will range in price from $1.25 to $8 (the full menu of what they serve is below). A Baker's Tale offers coffee from local roasters Passion House, tea from Benjamin Tea, and they also feature lunch service. For now they are open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., but will eventually stay open until 7:00 p.m. and have patio seating (dog friendly) once the warmer weather arrives.
