The malort face has made its way to the nation's capital. In a Washington Post report, writer Fritz Hahn calls it "the buzziest spirit in Washington," which is mainly the result of Chicagoan-owned bar Ivy & Coney. Hahn says "it's not as bad as everyone made it out to be...though the bitter, astringent flavor lingers on your tongue for a surprisingly long time." [Washington Post]
