First the sad news, Dragonfly Mandarin Restaurant has closed after 13 years. The good news? DineAmic Group (Siena Tavern, Public House) has a deal in place to open a new concept in its place.
Crain's reports that the group has been looking for a spot in famed "Restaurant Row" for awhile now. Their plan is to plug in a "polished casual restaurant and bar" in a strip of restaurants that skews more high-end. Currently, Lone Wolf and Haymarket are among the few casual spots among the chef-driven establishments on Randolph.
The unnamed project is due to open in the fall. Meanwhile, Crain's also reports that DineAmic is gearing up to open a steakhouse in Chicago. Their Miami expansion of Siena Tavern is coming soon as well.
