A chef is finally running the kitchen at Debra Sharpe's Feast for the first time in quite some time.
That chef's name is Jason Myers. He's a native of Australia who's spent time at Troquet, Brasserie by LM, Grass Fed, Deleece Grill and other Chicago restaurants.
Feast, open for 15 years, will temporarily close on Jan. 19 through Jan. 22 for a few days of "refreshing," according to representatives. Details are scarce, but reps say Myers' new menu will feature a "more modern approach." Management promises to continue being a neighborhood fixture that is both "casual" and "friendly."
Maura Davis, a vet of both LM and Francesca's restaurant groups, has also been hired as Feast's general manager. The bar program is set to get an overhaul as well with the hope that Feast becomes a destination for its drinks as much as its food and vibe.
