Doughnut Boom Continues: Stan's Donuts Planned For Clark and Diversey

The former Jamba Juice on the corner will soon become a Stan's.

A doughnut-less area will get some of Wicker Park's (and Los Angeles') finest fried treats in the spring. Stan's Donuts and Coffee owner Rich Labriola is preparing to open his third shop in a neighborhood largely untouched by the recent doughnut boom—the high-traffic corner of Clark and Diversey.

Labriola says he recently signed a lease to take over the shuttered Jamba Juice at 2800 N. Clark and is hoping to open in April in a space that's a little larger than his first two in Wicker Park and Streeterville. The new location will also be the first Stan's to offer soft serve gelato in addition to the artisan yeast-raised doughnuts and coffee that have kept the Wicker Park location bustling.

Chicagoans could see even more Stan's Donuts shops next year, as Labriola says he may open two to three more in 2015. The first will be at Clark and Diversey on a block that recently got a Wow Bao too.
