Don't blink, because the Manhole is covered and the Whiskey Trust are broken, as the management team for both Boystown neighbors announced a temporary shutter.

Via a Facebook message posted this afternoon, LKH Management, which also runs Hydrate and Elixir, claimed the owner of Manhole and Whiskey Trust instructed them shut down.

Whiskey Trust owner Jason Zilberbrand declined comment. LKH's post cited "situations beyond their control" as reason for the shutters.

The events and parties scheduled for the Manhole will shift to Hydrate.

"Hopefully we will be able to return to this space soon or find an appropriate venue for Manhole to reopen on a full-time basis in the near future," said A.K. Miller, the manager of both the Manhole and Whiskey Trust, in LKH's Facebook statement.

Whiskey Trust debuted in June as a replacement for Boystown landmark Spin. Zilderbrand brought in LKH in August to manage both the Whiskey Trust and the neighboring club Chloe's (which eventually became the second coming of the Manhole in September).
