Takashi Reveals Final Omakase Menu; Zenwich Opens in The Loop; More

BUCKTOWN—The final month of Takashi begins tonight and to celebrate, chef Takashi Yagihashi has revealed his "Imperial 7" omakase menu. Running until December 30, the seven-course menu (see below) features revered menu items making their appearance for the last time. THE LOOPThe second location of sandwich shop Zenwich opened November 24 in the Loop and features seating for 36. The first, in Elmhurst, opened five years ago and the company has plans to open another four more in as many years. They are open weekdays only right now, 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. [Crain's]

RAVENSWOOD—Michael Gebert checks in with Julia Pham of Relish Underground Dining after finding out she had received a citation from the city. Pham believes a disgruntled customer is how the city came to call, not, as Gebert feared, the positive press she had been getting. RIVER NORTH—Some exciting news for beef enthusiasts as Roka Akor is getting their hands on A5-12 grade Japanese Wagyu. Roka Akor will be one of only five restaurants in America that will feature the Wagyu, which will be sold for $32 an ounce with a 3-ounce minimum. [EaterWire]
