The follow-up to the popular Union Sushi + Barbecue Bar is four days away, as The Franklin Room is set to open the doors for lunch on Friday. And when it does open, expect a massive selection of whiskey alongside twists on throwback tavern comfort food.
The menus, released today, feature the expected meat, cheese and fish boards ($13), six sandwiches ($12-18) including fried bologna and a reuben, and snackier dishes such as beef tartare and seared foie gras ($18) and cauliflower parmesan tots ($7). Entrees highlight a house corned beef ($16), shrimp pot pie ($17), duck noodle soup ($19), and chicken-fried ribeye ($21).
As previously reported, the whiskey selection should be the main draw, as the finished menu has a sprawling list for fans of the brown spirit, including a bottle keep program for purchasers of high-end options. Also look for eight house cocktails ($12 each), a small selection of sake and wine, and a decent beer selection.
Reservations are now available; read the full menus below.
