Eaters near the Southport corridor are getting a new fast-casual Vietnamese sandwich shop very soon—just don't call it a Banh Mi & Co. Following a recent ownership split, former partner Lee Trinh says he's planning a similar new shop for the former Anthony's Italian Ice space at 3458 N. Southport, naming it Banh Mi Ba Get.
Trinh says he's aiming to open it in just two weeks. Anthony's Italian Ice shuttered in September.
Banh Mi & Co. had been in expansion mode, opening the fifth location this past May on Division Street in Wicker Park. The other locations will remain under that name for the time being as the former owners work through a dispute.
