Brendan Sodikoff's pizza joint, Roxie's by the Slice, could be open as early as Friday, according to DNAinfo. The former Café Con Leche space looked to be finished a few weeks back, but had been waiting on approval from the city. That approval appears to have been granted with Roxie's chefs Cameron Magee and Chad Anderson stating their confidence in Friday's opening date.
Roxie's will seat 56 and serve Brookyn-style pizza by the slice for $4.50 per slice. The pizza will come in eight varieties (anchovies, hot coppa, Serrano ham, soppressata, sweet peppers, arugula, and olives) with either a red sauce or a cream sauce as its base. There will be 14 draft beers on tap from assorted local breweries. Daily hours begin at noon and closing is whenever the pizza runs out for the day.
