WICKER PARK—The 2nd annual "A (Mostly) Veggie Affair" from the Green City Market Junior Board will happen at Chop Shop & 1st Ward on Thursday, November 13. Attendees can expect plenty of drinks to be on hand and there's an online auction happening now. Tickets, which are $55 and on sale now, can be purchased here. [EaterWire]

DVR ALERT—Jason Vincent, formerly of Nightwood, will turn up in a two-part episode of the PBS series "A Chef's Life." Vincent joins host and chef Vivian Howard at the Southern Foodways Alliance symposium to help prepare 1600 plates of food on WTTW (Channel 11) on November 1 and 8. [EaterWire]
