Argyle Street stalwart Tank Noodle's license has been suspended, according to a photo in a tweet by WBEZ's Monica Eng, and the Vietnamese restaurant is currently closed. A fluorescent green sign reading "license suspended" is plastered to the Eater 38 restaurant's front door at 4953-55 N. Broadway, chairs are still on tables and the restaurant is dark.

There is no answer on the restaurant's phone line and the latest city inspection data is currently unavailable. More on this story as it develops.

UPDATE: Tank Noodle's voicemail now has a message that says, "we will open Friday October 31. See you soon."

UPDATE 11/3: Tank Noodle is back open, according to DNAinfo, after correcting the "critical" violations that included an issue with a sewage pipe and 50 live fruit flies.
