Gibson's Restaurant Group is heading to place that may perfectly befit the top-grossing independent restaurant in Chicago—Walt Disney World in Florida. Announced today, the people behind Gibson's Bar & Steakhouse, Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, Quartino, and others are opening a restaurant in the land of Rainforest Cafe—in partnership with the creator of Rainforest Cafe.
Named The Boathouse, it'll be a waterfront concept with three bars, an array of "nautical-themed" rooms, and a guided water taxi with "champagne toasts and chocolate-covered strawberries." The restaurant's menu will consist of steaks, chops, seafood and a raw bar.
This boat-themed concept will be the first Gibson's spot outside of the Chicagoland area.
EDIT NOTE: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that The Boathouse is a partnership between Gibson's and the Rainforest Cafe itself.
