Sodikoff's Pizza Place Gets Signage; Fahlstrom's Fish Market Getting Close; More

Plus a new bakery and ice cream shop for a blossoming Humboldt corner.

BUCKTOWN—Although Brendan Sodikoff's pizza place, Roxie's by the Slice, is still awaiting the go-ahead from the city, it seems to be nearly finished. The former Cafe Con Leche building is completely painted over, including the signage mural pictured above. [EaterWire]

LAKEVIEW—Former Glenn's Diner proprietor Glenn Fahlstrom appears to be getting close to opening his "seafood version of Potbelly" in the former La Gondola and Joey's Brickhouse space at 1258 W. Belmont. A sign is now up proclaiming Fahlstrom's Fresh Fish Market and hiring is underway. He was originally shooting for an October 1 opening. [EaterWire]

HUMBOLDT PARK—A new bakery and ice cream shop from the owners of Cheap Tart Bakery is heading to the blossoming California and Augusta intersection. Expect it to open by the end of the year in a former gallery next to the California Clipper. [DNAinfo]
