In the first dinner of our Chef Meets Brewer series, Eater and Goose Island took over Trenchermen for a five-course feast full of flavor. Goose Island Brewer Brian Taylor perfectly paired five brews with custom creations from Trenchermen's Chef Pat Sheerin. Guests were taken through a huge range of flavors including pickle tots in red onion yogurt paired with 312 Urban Wheat Ale, local beets in pastrami spice with duck liver and sorrel paired with the newly released Rambler IPA and a bold main course of hanger steak, garlic fried rice and house-made hoisin paired with Honkers Ale. Pastry Chef, and current Top Chef Competitor, Rebecca LaMalfa topped off the evening with the Trenchermen's S'mores paired with Matilda Belgian Pale Ale.
Check out the full menu in the gallery below. Feeling jealous of this feast? Don't worry, our next one is coming up on November 10th. See the full details and buy your tickets here. You don't want to miss out.
