Carnivale, the bustling Nuevo Latino spot in Fulton Market, recently hit a mojito milestone selling their millionth order of the drink. You read that right: Carnivale has sold one million mojitos since the restaurant opened nine years ago.

How did they do this? Bar manager Daryl Freeman says that consistency is a big factor because the bartenders follow the recipe. Carnivale's mojito consists of Cruzan rum, simple syrup and "we use the freshest mint and limes." There's also a bonus, secret ingredient, according to Freeman. "We make it with love!"

If a mojito isn't your drink of choice, Freeman and head bartender Luis Rodriguez would guide you to their Carnivale martini, or perhaps the restaurant's signature margarita. If you happen to stop by their Sunday brunch, they recommend a bacon bloody Mary, which features bacon-infused vodka that is done in-house.
