Promontory Launches Brunch; Tip Top Tap Reopening For Viewing; More

HYDE PARK—The Promontory ran an unannounced brunch service last weekend and is kicking it off for real this weekend. Chef Jared Wentworth's menu, which you can read below, has plenty of interesting dishes, such as a potato gnocchi lobster "hash." [EaterWire]

MAGNIFICENT MILE—Tip Top Top, closed since 1961 high atop the Allerton Hotel (701 N. Michigan Ave.), will reopen for public viewing only this weekend. There's no word yet on whether it will reopen for good. [ABC7]

ROGERS PARK—Glenwood Bar, the last of Colm Treacy's bars and restaurants on the far north side, is for sale but remains open for the time being. Treacy closed or sold T's, MorseL, Sofo and Sidecar. [DNAinfo]
