Revival Social Club, Edgewater's replacement for M. Henrietta, plans on opening in early November. The restaurant staff will serve small and large plates with a full bar featuring a craft cocktail menu, according to a spokeswoman. Plans for the restaurant unfurled in the spring while M. Henrietta officially closed earlier this month after four years in.
Residents of brunch village won't despair, however, as Revival—like its popular brunch predecessor at 1133 W. Granville Ave.—will offer a brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday. Revival's coffee bar will also feature java from Chicago's Dark Matter Coffee. The food menu includes an ancho coffee-crusted pork tenderloin, popcorn with chorizo and manchego, and the "Sloppy Jose"—braised short rib with spicy tomato broth on a sesame bun.
Management promises a new look inside and seating for 74 while retaining M. Henrietta's footprint. There's also a back patio with 20 more seats.
