If you've walked up Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park at any point over the past few months, chances are you've noticed the new signage up on the former Bin Wine Cafe's red brick facade between the Dr. Marten's store and Jimmy John's. Perhaps you've even peered inside, looking to catch a glimpse of the new bar and eatery under construction inside. On Saturday you'll be able to go inside Links Taproom, but for now, here are some photos.
Beyond the brick facade and garage door window, the interior is an homage to all things American craft beer, outfitted with a plethora of repurposed kegs, trinkets, signs, and growler light fixtures set against more brick. A long 20-seat bar runs the majority of the southern wall, communal and smaller tables compose the remaining 60 seats.
"DigitalPour" screens dot the space, displaying available beers and information. A menu board shows sausages and beer snacks which can be ordered from a kitchen counter. Order them for yourself on Saturday.
