Element Collective to Begin Juicing This Spring

Element Collective can't stop — the team, including chef Jared Van Camp (Old Town Social, Nellcote) are set to open a cheffy juice bar called Owen & Alchemy in the spring according to Crains.

The team are partnering with Anne Owen (whose previous career was in publishing), to offer people a rotating menu of drinks at a cost of $9 per glass. Van Camp is using locally grown produce from suppliers he already works with and a portion of all proceeds sold will go to benefit Oceana, which is dedicated to protecting the world's oceans.

The juice bar doesn't have a home yet, but they're scoping out the Logan Square and Wicker Park/Bucktown areas for a location that fits their desires.

The restaurant team has two other high-profile openings due in the year's first quarter in addition to Owen + Alchecmy — Leghorn, the fried chicken sandwich shop, and Kinmont, the sustainable-fish restaurant in the former Zealous space in River North. Both are hoping to open in February.
