SOUTH LOOP—It appears that Panozzo's Italian Market won't reopen. A sign is now on the door and a Craigslist ad is proclaiming it up for lease. The market and cafe closed temporarily last summer and closed again in October. [Sloopin]

RIVER NORTH—The Fulton's on the River dining room has officially closed in order to make way for Tony Mantuano's unnamed new project. The private dining area is still open. [EaterWire]

UKRAINIAN VILLAGE—Middle Eastern Chicago Avenue standby Chickpea has shuttered. Ownership decided not to renew their lease and called it "a good run." [DNAinfo]

STREETERVILLE—Is Saloon Steakhouse on 200 E. Chestnut out of business? Crain's reports a darkened restaurant, disconnected phone line, and unavailable reservations on Open Table. [Crain's]
