The 2014 Zagat poll is out, and West Rogers Park Japanese restaurant Katsu has replaced Alinea as the winner of the "Top Food" category. Alinea dropped to fourth on the list, but remains first in the "Most Popular" category. Shanghai Terrace wins the "Top Decor" honor, Next boasts the "Top Service," and Over Easy Cafe is chosen as the "Best Buy."

In other results, Chicagoans are 10 percent more likely to make reservations on the internet than the rest of the country, one quarter of Chicagoans choose Italian as their favorite cuisine (same as the national average), and Chicago diners are more annoyed by food porn—15 percent of Chicagoans feel that diners taking pictures is "rude an inappropriate" as opposed to a 12 percent national average.
