Saturday will be the last hurrah for Nick's Uptown, Uptown Update first reported. General Manager Ed Sanders says "it came as a surprise to everyone" and that owner Nick Novich sold the building to adjacent Thorek Hospital. Sanders, who also oversees Nick's Beer Garden and The Flat Iron in Wicker Park, says both will stay open. [Uptown Update/EaterWire]
