Tavernita on Food Network's Chef Wanted Tonight

Tavernita will be featured on tonight's episode of Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell on Food Network (9 p.m.) The episode, titled "Windy City Faceoff," finds partner/executive chef Ryan Poli and owner Alfredo Sandoval enlisting the help of Burrell to fill an open chef de cuisine position.

The timing was perfect as the show was looking for a Chicago restaurant to partner with (Tavernita was "on their radar" according to Poli) right around the time of Greg Bastien's exit this past summer.

The competing chefs (Adam Howard, Drew Terp, Mike Minor, and Priscilla Yeh), were put through their paces by Poli, Sandoval, and especially Burrell.

"We chose the contestants based on their experiences and resumes" and "they were put through our interview process."
