Fox & Obel Officially Shuttered

Days after a "temporarily closed" sign went up in the window, Fox & Obel ownership announced in court this morning that they're closing for good. The Tribune reports that ownership said that "heavy debt made it impossible to maintain operations."

This marks the end of a long saga of failed inspections, bankruptcy filings, and lawsuits. If you're interested in its furniture, fixtures, website, name or a 14-year-old sourdough bread starter, now is the time.
