What happens when to a unique frozen treats business when summer ends? In the case of Ice-Cubed, it turns into an underground dinner club until April.
Naming it The Octagon Mode, owner Erika Stone-Miller is throwing communal ticketed dinner parties Friday and Saturday nights inside their space in Uptown, which isn't quite ready for a full brick-and-mortar operation, "instead of going into grocery stores or having an ice cream shop in the freezing months." Stone-Miller describes the food as modern fine dining.
Stone-Miller is hoping to create that dinner club social atmosphere by employing communal tables, introductions, and live music. Tickets went on sale today and dinners begin October 11. Each dinner will hold 12-18 guests and cost $100. Expect the Ice-Cubed back on the road in April.
