Amigos Tonight with Steuer & Fehribach; Vermilion Hosts Five Chefs for Women Dinner; More

RIVER NORTH—Tonight's installment of Amigos of Pintxo will be a southern fried version, featuring guest chefs Mark Steuer (Carriage House, The Bedford) and Paul Fehribach (Big Jones). Tonight also marks the change in time for the bi-weekly event, starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. $25 gets you in for all you can eat pintxos. [EaterWire]

RIVER NORTH—Vermilion hosts Five Chefs for Women this Wednesday, September 25 to benefit the James Beard Foundation Vermilion Women in Culinary Leadership Scholarship. The five-course dinner will feature Carrie Nahabedian (NAHA, Brindille), Mindy Segal (Hot Chocolate), Ina Pinkney (Ina's), Svetlana Rišcova (Latvia's Elements, cooking with Nahabedian), as well as Vermilion's Rohini Dey. Debbi Peek and Bridget Albert (Southern Wine and Spirits of Illinois master mixologists) and wine selections from Mercat a la Planxa's sommelier Wanda Cole. WEST LOOP—This Thursday, September 26, visit OON for a special collaboration dinner. OON's Matt Eversman and Slurping Turtle's Aaron Cuschieri (both named to Zagat's 2013 30 Under 30) will create a seven course dinner (two dishes a piece separately and three together). SOUTH LOOP—Together, an "experiential dinner series," has announced their first theme: Harvest. On Monday, October 7, chef Marco Bahena (Everest) is behind the menu, while Mae Governale (Longman & Eagle) will serve as the event's beverage director, and Nitewerk Design will handle the "interactive design" for the evening.
