Here's one way for a restaurant to go out: sell 1800 lobster corn dogs at Lollapalooza. That's what Grahamwich, Graham Elliot's sandwich shop, did, shuttering after its servitude at last weekend's festival, according to the Tribune.
Grahamwich opened in 2010 with great excitement and talk of expansion. After receiving mixed reviews, Elliot revamped the menu and lowered prices. Now it's the end of the road.
Elliot, the Lollapalooza culinary director, could not be reached for comment at press time, although he told the Trib that they "look forward to getting the band back together sometime in the future." There's no word on what's next for the space or the concept at this time. Graham Elliot and Graham Elliot Bistro remain open.
