Brendan Sodikoff is at it again. The superstar restaurateur who just opened one big concept (and changed its name) and is working on countless others, added another one to his docket—the shuttered Cafe Con Leche in Bucktown. Sodikoff took over the space last week, DNAinfo reports.
Sodikoff, who has a list of projects ahead of this one, including the pizza place, the ramen place, and the Maxim's space, says that this project will have to wait for a bit. In an email, he says that he has "no plans" for the location yet and that "we're going to be sitting on it into next year."
The current buildout includes a large year-round patio that juts into the street corner, a small open kitchen, and limited indoor seating. Seeing Hogsalt's mission statement is "the preservation of food culture," it'll be interesting to see which he preserves next.
