Homegrown Cafe officially opened this morning in the former space of Chalkboard. Customers can expect the same quality food as Chalkboard's chef/owner Gilbert Langlois is still in charge. Langlois closed the dinner destination in favor of this new breakfast/brunch/lunch space to spend more time with his young son. Homegrown Cafe's opening menu boasts a slow-braised short rib "Mc Muffin," a brunch burrito, chicken & waffles, and shrimp remoulade "wedge" salad. [EaterWire]
