The West Town Tavern/Chicago Taco story appears to be have reached an endgame. The restaurant space, which officially shuttered in late July, hit the real estate market on Friday. The sale will include the nearly 2,000 square-foot first-floor restaurant, basement, sidewalk cafe, liquor license, and all the furniture, fixtures, and equipment from Susan and Drew Goss's closed neighborhood staple, according to a broker.
The Gosses couldn't be reached by press time. West Town Tavern was open for over 11 years before shuttering in July, reopening in four days as Chicago Taco, and shuttering again two days later. Drew and Susan Goss have lived in the neighborhood since 1997.
