Another Deli Gone—Ada's is Closed

As Brendan Sodikoff readies his Jewish deli, another old Chicago deli has closed. Originally reported by Crain's, Ada's Famous Deli and Restaurant in the Silversmith Hotel is no more. The space was known for a small bar and lounge in front and full dining room in back serving traditional deli sandwiches, full meals, and desserts.

Reached by phone, a hotel employee confirmed the shutter. She says that the hotel, which is currently under renovation, will replace Ada's with its renovated hotel lobby that is moving to the ground floor. There are no plans to add another restaurant concept at this time, she says, only adding "some sort of lounge."

The dining page of the hotel website says they're "refreshing our restaurant and bar, during this time we will be offering all of our guests a complimentary quick start breakfast served in the lobby of our hotel."
